Hugo qualified from the RVC in 2011 and went to work in mixed practice in Cumbria for 3 years where he realised a passion for ruminant vetting. Originally from the Nantwich area he then moved back to Cheshire in 2014 and worked at a practice near Macclesfield before running another practice in the same area for 4 years. Looking to the future he is proud to have moved to Sandstone Vet Group – attracted by the independence and modern approach of the practice and working in a team of experienced vets – all working together to support their clients and colleagues and offering the best service available. Hugo enjoys the variety of work, clients and farm systems in Cheshire and the surrounding area, and his main interest is ensuring the best health of his client’s stock to ensure productive animals. Specifically dairy cow fertility, sheep fertility, bull and ram fertility and disease investigation and monitoring are all areas of interest. Hugo enjoys working with the individual animal; proactively healthy herds/flocks are key but this all starts with paying close attention to the individual animal.
Outside of work he is kept busy by his 2 active children as well as enjoying interests in poultry, shooting and anything historical.
